Quietly Kept

For households

The week ahead,
already settled.

Quietly Kept helps busy families find the right household manager, then gives everyone one shared place for the diaries, routines, handovers and everyday decisions that keep a home moving. We stay alongside you while you settle in, but never between you. The working relationship stays yours.

Approachable, in proportion

More within reach than you might think.

Hiring a household manager isn't only for ultra-high-net-worth households. The cliché is the country estate and the live-in staff. The reality is far more practical: most of the families we work with are dual-career professionals, single parents, and first-time founders, running their homes on a few hours of help each week. Quietly Kept exists to make that introduction simple, considered, and within reach.

Who we hold in mind

We hold three households in mind.

I.

Juggling work and the school run, dinner on the table, and the plumber you keep forgetting to book. The lunchbox rotation, the piano teacher's number, the in-laws on Sunday: all held in your head while you're in another meeting.

After a month with us

Eleanor knows the rotation. She remembers the piano teacher. The plumber came on Thursday before you noticed it was Thursday. The Saturday list isn't yours any more, and Saturday morning finally is.

II.

Putting the baby down at seven, and then the washing, the kitchen, the dishwasher. The 'rest' you never quite get to, the sense of always being mid-task and always one push behind.

After a month with us

The washing folded by three. The kitchen kept. The hour after bedtime, finally, your own. A Saturday morning with the paper, alone, on purpose.

III.

It's the to-do list living in one of your heads. Dinner becomes a debrief; small resentments settle in around 'who remembered.' You talk about logistics more than you talk about each other.

After a month with us

Dinner without the list between you. The errands done quietly during the day, the dry cleaning collected, the Sunday-night travel pickup booked before either of you asked. The evening, finally, for each other.

What is included

One engagement. Three things kept well.

A shortlist, an engagement, and the platform. Priced as one because they belong together.

01 ——

A considered shortlist

We start by listening: a real conversation about how your week runs and what's been quietly slipping. Then, for a one-off $295 fee, we sift the candidates, shortlist three managers chosen for the way you live, and validate ID, references and right-to-work. We arrange the interviews and stay close while you decide. You focus on the fit; we handle the sift.

  • 30-minute briefing call
  • Three shortlisted candidates
  • ID, references, right-to-work validated
  • Interviews arranged on your terms
02 ——

You engage directly

When you find someone who fits, we help you settle them in well: the contract template, the onboarding, the difference between contracting and employment. A named partner at Quietly Kept stays in your corner: quarterly check-ins, successor candidates on file if anything changes. We're alongside you, never between you. The working relationship is yours.

  • Contract template
  • Onboarding support
  • Named partner & quarterly review
  • Successor candidates on file

Calm, on one page

Our platform keeps the household on one quiet page: calendars, routines, handovers, household notes, the gate codes and the gardener. Kept by your manager, read at a glance by your family, never another inbox. So the help itself stays simple, and managing the home doesn't become another job. For $49 a month.

  • Shared family calendar
  • Routines & checklists
  • Handover notes & pantry
  • Document vault

A 30-minute video call. Routines, calendars, what you want left alone, and the rhythm of your week.

Week 1

The shortlist

Two or three candidates considered against your brief. Full profiles, references available on request.

Week 2

Introductions

Brief video introductions with the candidates you like. We can sit in for the first if you prefer, and then you can move to an in person meeting.

Week 3

Engagement

You engage your manager directly. We help with the paperwork and onboard your household into the platform.

Quarter 1

The household, on one quiet page.

Built for the way a real home runs: handovers between manager and family, a pantry that knows what's low, routines that don't require a meeting. We chose calm over completeness — there is nothing in here you don't actually need.

What we are not

Said plainly, so there is nothing left to discover later.

§ i

We are not your employer.

You engage the household manager directly. They report to you, not to us. We help with the paperwork and remain available — but the relationship is yours.

§ ii

We do not run payroll.

Wages, super, tax and leave are handled by your accountant or a payroll provider. We can introduce one if you do not have a preference.

§ iii

We do not visit your home.

Quietly Kept stays at one remove. Your manager and your household meet in person; we work alongside, by phone, by note, and through the platform. It keeps us focused, and keeps your home yours.

§ iv

We do not provide nursing or registered care.

For complex medical or aged-care needs we partner with specialised agencies and are happy to make an introduction.

Quiet FAQs

The questions households actually ask.

If yours is not here, write to us. We'll answer in plain language, by email, by the next business day.

01

What does a household manager actually do?

+

It varies, but generally: keeps the calendar, runs the home day-to-day, books cleaners, tradespeople and deliveries, handles pantry and household admin, and acts as the keeper of the routine. Not a nanny, not a cleaner. Think chief of staff for a home — working alongside you, remotely.

02

How does Quietly Kept stay involved after placement?

+

Lightly, and on purpose. Your named partner is on email and the phone for anything that needs us — a question about contracts, a difficult conversation, a successor candidate when the time comes. Day-to-day, the work is between your manager and your household; we sit out of the way.

03

How long does a placement take?

+

Most engagements settle in two to three weeks from brief to start date. Bespoke or relocation briefs may take a little longer.

04

Do we pay through Quietly Kept?

+

No. The household pays the manager directly, through your accountant or payroll provider. We charge a one-off $295 placement fee, then $49 a month for the platform and our continued support. Nothing else.

05

What if it does not work out?

+

Cancel any time — the monthly fee stops at the end of that cycle. If a placement does not settle in the first 90 days, we will re-shortlist at no further placement fee. Once a year you can also replace your manager at no further placement fee, for any reason.

06

How do you verify candidates?

+

Right-to-work, government ID, two professional references, a working-with-children check where relevant, and a video interview with our team. Verification reduces risk; it does not guarantee suitability.

07

Do you work outside the capital cities?

+

Yes. We brief, shortlist and support the same way wherever you are — our work happens by phone and on the platform, so location does not matter to us. The same monthly rate applies Australia-wide.
